Ifans buys Miller engagement ring on b’day

Rhys Ifans has bought Sienna Miller an engagement ring for her birthday. The Welsh actor plans to pop the question during a romantic evening to mark Sienna’s 26th birthday recently and has hidden the specially-designed band among a pile of presents.
A source told Britain’s Sun newspaper, "He’s collected 10 presents for Sienna of varying shapes, sizes and prices. They are all part of a plan for a romantic night in with a mountain of presents. He is keeping tight-lipped on a proposal but hinted to he has had a Welsh designer craft a special ring for her, which can only mean one thing."
Rhys, who was first romantically linked to Sienna in August after moving in to her London home in August when his houseboat started leaking, has also reportedly penned Sienna a poem in his native Welsh tongue to help ease her anxiety about growing older. The source added, "Sienna is having an age crisis and feels that she has not done enough with her life so far. Rhys, whose philosophy is to live and enjoy every day, has written her a poem about their brilliant future together, all her achievements in life so far and always seizing the best out of life."

Jessica confirms her engagement with Cash

Jessica Alba has confirmed she is engaged. The Fantastic Four actress, who was seen wearing a large diamond ring on her wedding finger over the festive period, is set to wed her long-term boyfriend and the father of her unborn baby Cash Warren. The 26-year-old star’s publicist Brad Cafarelli said, "I can confirm that they are engaged."
It was previously reported Alba had wanted to tie the knot before the couple’s baby arrived in late spring next year. However, it was recently claimed the actress had decided to postpone the nuptials because she does not want to walk down the aisle with a baby bump. A source close to the couple said, "She doesn’t want to be pregnant in a dress."
Alba and Warren met on the set of Fantastic Four in 2004 where 28-year-old Warren was working as a director’s assistant. They split in July this year, reportedly because Alba was putting pressure on Warren to get married but quickly rekindled their romance in August.

Hilton to lose part of fortune

Paris Hilton is set to lose a huge slice of her fortune after it was revealed her billionaire grandfather is leaving almost all of his money to charity. The Simple Life star had been in line to inherit a large share of hotel founder Barron Hilton’s $1.2 billion, but he will now donate 97 per cent of it to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, set up by his father. Barron’s son Steven, Paris’s uncle and president and chief executive of the foundation, said, "Speaking for the family, as well as the foundation, we are all exceedingly proud and grateful for this extraordinary commitment. Working to alleviate human suffering around the globe, regardless of race, religion or geography, is the mandate of the foundation set by my grandfather and now reinforced by my father."
Barron was said to have grown very frustrated by Paris’ behaviour, which included her spending 23 days in jail for driving offences and the sex tape, One Night In Paris, featuring her having sex with her then boyfriend Rick Salomon, being leaked onto the internet. Earlier this year, Jerry Oppenheimer, author of House Of Hilton: From Conrad To Paris: A Drama Of Wealth, Power and Privilege said, "Barron Hilton was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris."
Barron’s money will now go to help the homeless and provide clean water in Africa as well as helping fund the work of Catholic nuns. Despite losing her inheritance Paris recently boasted of making of $200 million a year as it was so easy for her to make money. She said, "I went to Austria and got paid $1 million to wave at a crowd and tell them why I loved Austria." Asked why she loved Austria, she replied, "They pay me $1 million to wave at crowds."

Love is not necessary for sex, says Iglesias

Enrique Iglesias insists you don’t need to love someone to have sex with them. The Insomniac singer believes lust is all you need to have fun in the bedroom. He said, "Sex and love are so different that, of course, you don’t have to be in love with a woman to sleep with her but it’s amazing when you get them both together. I’d say I’ve been in love about 10 times in my life, although those feelings usually turned out to be lust. I’ve had my heart broken a few times, but really, I’ve only been in love once. Love is lust that lasts and develops into trust and friendship."
Enrique, 32, has been in a relationship with former tennis ace Anna Kournikova for the past five years. Despite his casual attitude to sex, the Latin heartthrob admits he grew up determined not to emulate the legendary lothario antics of his singer father Julio Iglesias.

Garner based character in new movie on relative

Jennifer Garner based her neurotic character in her new movie on a relative. The 35-year-old Juno actress, who co-stars with Jason Bateman as a childless suburban couple who agree to adopt a pregnant teenager’s unborn baby, confessed the family member has no idea they were the inspiration for the role.
Speaking at a Producers Guild of America screening of Juno in New York last week, Garner said, “My character is based on someone related to me. She doesn’t even know it yet. And it will kill her when she sees the movie.” Jennifer, who has a two-year-old daughter Violet with husband, actor Ben Affleck, joked her revelation means the relative will probably snub her this Christmas. The star quipped, “I’m definitely not going to get any Christmas presents from her.” Last month, the Alias star was named Glamour magazine’s Woman of the Year. Jennifer graced the cover of the US publication in an exquisite floor-sweeping backless turquoise gown for the November issue honouring fantastic females.

Spice Girls wow admirers in Canada

The Spice Girls wowed fans as they kicked-off their world tour in Canada recently. The band, Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Mel C, performed in front of over 15,000 fans at Vancouver’s General Motors Place, singing 22 tracks including their nine UK number one singles. It is the first time they have performed together as a five-piece in nine years, following Geri sensationally quitting the band in May 1998 halfway through their first world tour. The girls, whose show-stopping costumes have been designed by Roberto Cavalli, opened the concert with Spice Up Your Life, while dancing on raised platforms.
Much to the delight of the crowd they sang all their classics, including Stop, Who Do You Think You Are and Say You’ll Be There. During the show Mel B, Mel C, Geri and Emma each performed one of their respective solo hits. Victoria, the only member not to have had a UK number one single on her own, used her solo slot to strut along the stage as if she was on a catwalk.
Victoria has admitted to being nervous about what critics would make of the show. She said, “Luck doesn’t matter.” The girls, who were watched by Victoria’s soccer star husband David Beckham and singer Avril Lavigne, ended the show with their 1996 debut single Wannabe before a reprise of Spice Up Your Life. Fans were impressed with the show, with one girl, Marlaine Huery, paying £750 for her ticket. She said, “I was crying for the first half hour of the show, and I paid a fortune for my ticket, but if they come on tour again I would spend it again. They were just fantastic.” The girls continue their tour in San Jose, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Macpherson, Adams date secretly

Elle Macpher-son and Bryan Adams are secretly dating, it has been claimed. The Australian supermodel is believed to have been romancing the Canadian rocker for around a month. The pair were seen sharing a passionate kiss at a private party Bryan hosted recently following the launch of his new photo exhibition.
A source said, “They were all over each other, flirting outrageously and couldn’t keep their hands or eyes off each other.” Elle, who has two children, Flynn and Cy, with her ex-fiancĂ© Arpad Busson, went to the launch of Bryan’s new exhibition of photographic portraits, Modern Muses, in London members’ club The Hospital. But it was at the Mexican-themed after-party, held at Bryan’s London home, where Elle showed her true feelings for the 48-year-old musician.
The source added, “They enjoyed a passionate kiss at his front door when they thought nobody was looking. They tried to hide behind the door slightly, but were caught out. It was obvious all evening there was a lot of chemistry between them. Even when they weren’t by each other’s side they were constantly maintaining eye contact. They make a really cute couple.”

Mischa wants to be producer

Mischa Barton wants to become a film producer like Drew Barrymore, so she can take the best roles. The 21-year-old beauty is fed-up with the lack of “great female roles” in Hollywood, and plans to emulate her idol Drew by making her own movies. Mischa said, “Producing is something I might see as a necessity because great film roles are difficult to come by. I admire a lot of women like Drew Barrymore who produce themselves and put together great projects. It’s certainly the best way of making sure you get top roles in movies that interest you.”
Drew, 32, set up Flower Films with friend Nancy Juvonen in 1995. They have since produced a series of hits including Charlie’s Angels, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, 50 First Dates and Music and Lyrics, all of which Drew starred in herself. Hollywood actress Mischa can soon be seen playing the feisty schoolgirl J.J. French alongside British stars Colin Firth and Rupert Everett in St. Trinian’s, due to be out next month. Next year, Barton is all geared up to appear as young lesbian Lana Starkova in You and I (finding t.A.T.u), in which she finds love at a t.A.T.u pop concert and gets swept into a dangerous and alluring world of violence and drugs.
